| Traffic in Kutna Hora is easy going after coming from crowded Prague. Parking is no problem either. This ancient histoic town was a highlight for me. |

Czech Republic Overview |
The Czech Republic was largely unvisited before November 1989 when it escaped communist rule, but now it is one of Europe's most popular destinations. This is hardly surprising when you consider all that this eastern block country has to offer with its unspoilt countryside and incredible architecture.
The capital Prague gets most of the attention, and it is a magnificent cosmopolitan city with loads to see and do. But outside Prague there are many points of interest, especially the untouched towns such as Kutna Hora. |

Czech Republic Essentials |
Prague - The capital of the Czech Republic is one of the most loved destinations in Europe. The architecture in the city is almost unrivalled, with a beautiful mix of styles combining seamlessly. Prague offers everything you would expect from a major cosmopolitan city including excellent museums, theatres, shops and bars.
Kutna Hora - Situated in the heart of the country, Kutna Hora is one of the most picturesque cities in the Czech Republic. The city is full of culture with great buildings and some interesting museums.
Moravian Karst - The Moravian Karst region is found in the east of the country. The whole area has sumptuous landscapes with caves, canyons and woodland.
Moravske Slovacko - Found in the far south of the country, the Moravske Slovacko region is full of tradition. The people here are welcoming and there is fantastic festivals that celebrate the regions heritage throughout the year.
Krivoklat - The small village of Krivoklat is situated in the west of the country. The main draw is Krivoklat castle but there are some fantastic forests in the surrounding area. |

Czech Republic Calendar - Pick of the Year's Events |
